Event Details

The 9th Annual Madison Money Conference (a nonprofit event) brings you over 20, 1-hour classroom sessions. Adult sessions include:

  • How to improve your credit score
  • How to buy your first home
  • Predatory lenders - swimming with the sharks
  • Grow your green - budget basics
  • Investment clubs, presented by the Madison Bull Market Club
  • Foreclosure prevention

Everyone at the conference will be able to get a free copy of his or her credit report, complete with credit score, and will be able to ask a credit expert questions in a one-on-one setting.  Participants may also ask questions about mortgage foreclosure issues in a one-on-one setting.

This is a family event, all are welcome.  Child care is available for children ages 2-5 (advance reservations required).  Breakfast and lunch are included.  Youth sessions include:

  • How to find a job
  • The business of entertainment

Door prizes will be given throughout the day, including the grand prize (a Wii Gaming Console) and continental breakfast and lunch are included with the modest admission charge.  (Must be present and at least 18 years of age to win).

All Conference participants will be enrolled in Wisconsin Saves, a public financial awareness campaign.  Benefits include newsletters and access to workshops to help you reach your goals to increase savings and cut debt.  There is no fee to join.

Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m.  The Conference begins at 8:30 a.m.  Pre-register by 4:00pm (CST) Friday, 14 August 2009 and save.  Cost for day-of-event registration is $7.50 per adult and $5.00 per youth (under 18).
